While he may not be instantly recognizable to many, his name is definitely familiar. Segale was Nintendo of America's original landlord before they landed their first arcade smash hit, Donkey Kong. His leniency with their delinquent rent earned him the honor of having Donkey Kong's protagonist named after him in future appearances, who in turn would go on to become Nintendo's mascot: Mario.
