America has always been fascinated by Eastern culture.
Then, in 1964, they got a taste of Eastern entertainment when the original Astro Boy first blasted onto their
screens. Today, there is a thriving market for anime and manga in the United
States as people eat up the wildly different storytelling and art stylings of
the medium.
This past summer, Pokemon Go was all the rage, and in a
few short months there will be the big screen reboot of the Power
Rangers franchise. That’s why this month we’re going to be taking a
look at some of those Japanese Imports that worked their way onto our Saturday
morning screens.
