With the new My Little Pony Equestria Girls movie
debuting on television this month, and the Jemand the Holograms movie hitting theaters next month, what better time to have
a month dedicated to Saturday morning shows based on toys?

Not content to merely
advertise their products, toy manufacturers have often partnered up with
production companies to bring their products to life and present them to a new
audience. Of course, rival companies and parent groups would tend to get the
FCC involved and have injunctions created against such a practice. Either part
of a program would need to be registered as a commercial for the product, or no
commercials for the related products could be shown during the program. But,
whatever the hoops they had to jump through, toy companies inevitably got their
products on the air.
